Why no "multiply today's weight" formula
Popular rules of thumb ("double the weight at 16 weeks") have no published basis and are wrong by a wide margin for large and giant breeds, which keep growing well past a year. Evidence-based growth standards do exist — Salt et al. (2017) built centile charts from 6 million US puppies — but they are published as charts by size category, not as a table we could reproduce here. If you want to check a puppy's growth against those centiles, your vet can plot it on the WALTHAM growth charts derived from that study.
For mixed-breed puppies, the breed standard does not apply; a vet's estimate from paw size, growth plate closure and parentage is the best available guide.
